Welcome to your improved TrawsCymru T2 and T3 services and brand new T22. These services link communities as well as travel to great locations for days out, so no matter what your journey is for, the bus can get you there with no fuss.

The routes

T2 Bangor – Aberystwyth via Caernarfon, Criccieth, Porthmadog, Dolgellau and Machynlleth.
T3 Wrexham – Barmouth via Ruabon, Llangollen, Corwen, Bala and Dolgellau.
T22 Caernarfon – Blaenau Ffestiniog via Porthmadog.

What has improved?

In the last year we’ve made some improvements to services T2 and T3, and introduced the T22 service, to make catching the bus easier and more convenient. Here are some of the improvements we’ve made:

  • New buses for greater comfort and reliability on the T2 and T3 services
  • Better value fares with some single tickets now cheaper than before
  • New T22 route launched in February 2024, and as a result an increased frequency in buses between Caernarfon and Porthmadog
  • Electric buses on the T22 service
  • Better connections to other TrawsCymru routes and trains

Try it for yourself

For a limited time you can get 50% off a day or week ticket on routes T2 or T22, or a discounted day ticket on the T3/T3C services. Simply enter discount code UPGRADED at the checkout.  Terms and conditions apply.*

Other ways to pay for your journey

You can pay for single, day or 1bws tickets on board the bus from the driver with cash or card via contactless. Alternatively, you can Tap On Tap Off (TOTO) with a contactless card during each journey and the system will work out the best value fare for you.  This is only available for adult fares but is capped at the price of a 1bws ticket, so you’ll never pay more than £6.50 for the day when you travel with TrawsCymru and most other North Wales bus operators.

Concessionary passes are accepted on these services, and there are other tickets available to purchase on the TrawsCymru app such as 10 single ticket bundles that offer flexibility for those who travel now and again.
