T1 and Sherpa'r Wyddfa shortlisted at UK Bus Awards 2023

We’re delighted that the TrawsCymru T1 and Sherpa'r Wyddfa services have both been shortlisted at this year's UK Bus Awards 2023. 

Following on from being 'highly commended' at the National Transport Awards, the T1 has been shortlisted as part of the 'Enriching the Customer Experience' category, while the Sherpa'r Wyddfa has been shortlisted in both the ‘Buses for Leisure’ and ‘Buses for Growth’ categories.  

Since its relaunch in March, the all-electric T1 service has gone from strength to strength, with more than 100,000 passengers travelling on the crucial Aberystwyth to Carmarthen route in the space of six months.  

Similarly, the Sherpa'r Wyddfa, which is run in partnership between us and Gwynedd Council, has revitalised public transport in and around Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) since it was relaunched back in April last year, helping to drive sustainable transport in one of Wales' best-loved and most visited landscapes!
