Changes to fares on selected services

We’re changing fares on some of our services and introducing a cap for single tickets from Sunday 2 March 2025.
Fares will change on services T1, T1A, T1X, T1C, T2, T3, T3C, T10 and T22, and customers will pay according to the distance they’ve travelled, with single tickets being capped at £4*. This means you can travel an entire length of a service e.g. Bangor to Aberystwyth on the T2 for just £4*.
Fares from 2 March 2025:

*The T1C maximum single fare is capped at £4 as far as Carmarthen, single tickets for the whole route are £13.
These fare changes are the first in 2 years and follow on from changes to the T6 fare structure that was made at the beginning of February 2025.
In addition to these changes, our all-day and weekly tickets on T1/T1A/T1X, T2, T3/T3C, T6, T10, and T22 services, will all be the same price for consistency across our services. Day tickets will cost £7, and weekly tickets are priced at £25, offering great value for money, especially to those who travel longer distances. Customers are reminded that they can pay for their bus journey in advance on the TrawsCymru app, or pay on the bus with cash or contactless devices. Tap on Tap off and 1bws fare capping is also available in North Wales on services T2, T3/T3C, T10, T22 where fares are automatically calculated based on your journeys, and capped so you'll get the best daily or weekly fare. This scheme will be expanded to the other routes during 2025.
Bundle of tickets
From this date, we’ll also be changing the app exclusive ticket bundles. We’ll be replacing our 10 single journey ticket* bundles with 5-day ticket bundles. Tickets can be used anytime within 6 months of purchase and will cost £5 less than purchasing the tickets individually. This offers our customers greater flexibility as well as cost-savings.
* Any 10 single journey tickets purchased prior to the 2nd March, can still be used within a year of purchase.
