Temporary road closure affecting TrawsCymru T5 service
A road closure will be in place between Synod Inn and Cross Inn from 1 December 2025 until 19 December 2025, affecting the T5 bus service. This is due to essential works by Dŵr Cymru.
After 19 December, the road will reopen for buses and emergency services only, subject to change.
To keep services running reliably, we’ve made some temporary adjustments to the T5 route:
Northbound (towards Aberystwyth)
- The T5 will continue to serve Synod Inn.
- From Synod Inn, the route will divert via Llanarth and then into New Quay, operating as far as Masons Square.
- After turning around at Masons Square, the service will resume its normal route to Aberystwyth.
Southbound (towards Cardigan)
- The T5 will operate as normal to Masons Square, New Quay, then turn around.
- It will return via Llanarth to Synod Inn, before continuing on its usual route southbound.
Free shuttle service
- A limited free shuttle will run Monday to Saturday between Cross Inn and New Quay, connecting with key T5 journeys in both directions.
- Shuttle times will be highlighted in yellow on the timetable.
- Please note adjustments may be made based on customer feedback.
Rhyd-y-Beillen Area
- Customers in this area can access the T5 from Synod Inn.
- Unfortunately, due to the closure and turning restrictions, the bus and shuttle cannot serve Rhyd-y-Beillen directly.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential works take place.
